You must come on time before the first game is played. If you are running late, call the Director Dr. David Poder (714) 642-5604. All first time players must arrive 15 minutes before the session begins.
For at least the first month, all new players get free challenges, can refer to the 2 and 3 letter word lists during play, and receive no penalty if they run overtime. You must use a clock but the game can be stopped if you run overtime to keep in line with the other players.
Results are tallied for each game on your score card and placed in the little white bucket for Div A and the little black bucket for Div B players. These results include your score and your opponent’s, your opponent’s name and your bingos and bingo scores. Please write LEGIBLY in BLOCK LETTERS, add correctly and total your scores after each game for future pairings.
We play 4 games per session. The Director pairs the first game randomly and then subsequent rounds based on performance unless the pairings are extremely unfair. That will be up to the discretion of the Director.
In your game record, put a line through any game that you miss or sit out. E.g., if you arrive late, leave early, or otherwise have to sit out a game.
You can still play the second game if you miss the first as long as you arrive before second game pairings are made. You do not have to play all 4 games but that is always preferable to avoid matching nightmares.
